NASA DEVELOP Summer Internships

The NASA DEVELOP National Program is an Applied Science program that brings together students, recent graduates, and early/transitioning career professionals to conduct Earth Science research. Participants work in teams to tackle environmental and policy issues through interdisciplinary research that bridges NASA Earth observations and society. The program consists of three 10 week terms in the Spring, Summer, and Fall, during which teams complete professional, practical projects. These projects utilize NASA’s array of Earth observing satellites and Remote Sensing/GIS software to create decision support tools for on-the-ground decision makers. Project research is conducted in Ecological Forecasting, Oceans, Agriculture, Water Resources, Health and Air Quality, Disasters, Energy, Climate, and Weather.

DEVELOP is currently looking for participants to assist with Earth Science research projects over Summer 2014 for a 10 week paid internship, working 30-35 hours a week. The online application will accept applications until February 28th. Applicants can contact Emily Voelker, Communictions YP and Assistant Center Lead DEVELOP National Program at Goddard Space Flight Center with questions at Emily.R.Voelker@nasa.gov.
