The Society of Women Engineers hosted a networking event with students, alumni and faculty. Students had the opportunity to gain insight from women working in the field and received tips on how to make the most of their engineering education. STEM and Education Advocacy in Action Symposium
On February 21-22, 2014, the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Public Policy Special Interest Group (PolySIG) will host the 2nd Annual NSBE Public Policy Symposium: STEM and Education Advocacy in Washington D.C. This Symposium will provide the opportunity to engage STEM professionals, non-profit leaders, policy makers, educators, and parents.  Symposium attendees will work towards program and policy solutions and engage in in-depth discussions on policy issues associated with STEM and Education Advocacy. The NSBE Public Policy SIG is pleased to offer this programming, and we look forward to your attendance at this signature event.

NSBE Terror Zone Summit
On the same day as the STEM Symposium (February 22) there will be a terror zone summit on Howard University’s campus. It’s a fun event and something you definitely don’t want to miss! You MUST register online here: http://www.nsbe.org/Regions/Region2/Events/Zone-Summits.aspx

NSBE National Convention
Right now the regular registration price is $160.00! Space is also limited so get your ticket sooner rather than later! National convention is a great opportunity for everyone to connect with people from NSBEs membership and partners. It brings out over 8,000 attendees each year.  Events include a 2-day Career Fair, College/Grad School Fair, Professional Development Workshops, General Sessions, Hospitality Suites, Panel Discussions, and the Annual Golden Torch Awards Ceremony. It’s a great opportunity for EVERYONE, you don’t want to miss out!

NSBE Weekly Study Sessions
We are now having study sessions every day from 8:00PM to 11:45 PM. If you need a quiet space to do some work with your fellow NSBE fam come and get your study on! They start TODAY!

Midnight Breakfast!
This Friday, we will have our first midnight breakfast for the semester! We will be going to iHop for some good eats with good company. Join your NSBE fam!

Campus Fresh Fundraiser
THIS TUESDAY, January 28th, ALL DAY LONG, we will have our first fundraiser of the semester at Campus Fresh. Tell your friends and come get some food because all the money will make will go toward things we can do for you!
